"I was not made to be subtle..."

August Favorites!

Hi babes!

Do you hear that? The church bells are ringing. Summer is finally over. Dust off those leather jackets and knee high boots, fall is here! If you couldn't tell, I'm a Fall Lover. So needless to say I'm happy that summer has come to an end. August was a fun month. I finished the summer off with a pop (I think "bang" would be a little too much). Here are some things that I've been loving this month!

Dove Fresh Magnolia & pistachio body wash - Oh my god! Oh. My. God. (Uncle Jeremy voice) I'm not sure how I ever lived without this body wash. You're probably thinking "fresh magnolia & pistachio???" Yes honey, fresh magnolia & pistachio! My mum was the one who actually picked this out and when I saw it in the shower I was a little hesitant. Let me just tell you, she picked a good one and she was even able to find the same product in the Target brand because you know we love a bargain! Saint Karen does it again! I shower every morning before work and this body wash is so amazing I'm actually excited to get out of bed and into the shower. I'm not even gonna try to describe the smell but next time you're in Target (which will probably be soon because let's be serious, it's the greatest place on earth) please check it out! I promise you'll want to bathe in it right there in aisle 7.

Exfoliating Gloves- the summer months can really take a toll on our skin. We're always in the pool, at the beach, soaking up the sun. One thing I make sure I do at least 3 times a week during the summer is exfoliate my skin. I've been using these exfoliating gloves with some of the amazing body wash I just mentioned and it's a match made in heaven. They're great because you can be as gentle or as rough as you need depending on the area. I also use these for shaving my legs. I put these on, grab some body wash and really really scrub my legs and then shave. When I want to feel extra soft, I finish with my Coffee and Coconut Oil Scrub. Your legs will feel so baby smooth you'll be rubbing them all day (I can't be the only one who does that!)

Caudalie Makeup Removing Cleansing Oil- Okay maybe I'm cheating because I've only had this for a couple weeks, but when you know…. you know! I got this after watching Nicole Guerriero's June favorites video. She was raving about how much better her skin has been since she switched from make up wipes to a make up removing oil. I've been switching up the products in my skin care routine trying to get rid of stubborn bumps and the only thing I haven't stopped using were make up wipes. I can't say that this has single handedly cleared my skin but it has definitely helped. I'll continue using it in the months to come and see how it goes!

Eyelash Lift - As you know from my previous Worth the Hype post, I got an eyelash lift at the beginning of the month. I have seriously been loving it. Them being so curled gave me such a fresh and awake look. My lashes have never looked that good and I can't wait to get them done again. If you want to learn more, go check out my Lash Craze post.

Bag Balm - Like I mentioned before, summer takes a toll on our skin, especially our feet. My heels end up being so rough in the summer because of all the sandals I wear. When I went to go get a pedicure, my nail lady Tiffany was pretty pissed when she saw how much she had to scrub my heels. She told me to do the sock and vaseline trick which I've tried but I squirmed at the thought of having socks on while I sleep. So she told me to cut the sock in half so that my toes are still out, okay Tiffany, now we're talkin'. I used Bag Balm instead of Vaseline and I'm pleased to say my heels are no longer getting stuck to my sheets. If you don't know what Bag Balm is… It's an ointment for cow nipples. Not kidding, there are pictures of cow utters on the packaging. Once you get past that, it's a really great moisturizer. I use it on my feet, my lips, whatever needs it. Try it out!

ColourPop Black N' Brown Brow Pencil - Did you really think I would have a monthly favorites post without mentioning a ColourPop product? Never! It's been a roller coaster ride with these eyebrows of mine. I make them thinner, love them, then get sick of them, grow them out, then they're too thick. I think I've recently found my perfect thickness. Thankfully, my eyebrows are pretty full on their own but there are a few sparse areas and this brow pencil has been saving the day. It's very creamy and easy to use. I'm still a huge fan of the ABH brow products but this is $5 and works just as good. And its ColourPop… they can do no wrong in my eyes.

I haven't had a favorite song for a while but don't worry, I'm back with the jams honey! This month I've been obsessed the Tory Lanez's Controlla Remix which is a very summer-y song, so I figured it's now or never. Just like the original, I can't help but dance when I hear this. The original Controlla and the Tory Lanez Remix are definitely summer '16 faves. Enjoy!

That's all for this month. All in all, it's been a fun summer. I'm super excited for the fall, so excited I could just jump in a pile of leaves…. but I won't, because it's still 90 degrees outside and no leaves have fallen and because that's gross but you get the point. Anywho, hope you enjoyed my August Favorites. Until next time!

Noted, Nina
