April Ipsy Bag!
So it's been a while since I did an Ipsy Bag post because honestly... my bags have been sucking lately. I was thinking about canceling it because I hardly ever use any of the products I get, never mind like them.
I decided to stick it out for a bit longer, and I'm happy I did! I'm almost positive that I'll be using atleast four of the five products I got this month (and that never happens!) The bag is also super cute, I'll definitely be filling this up with some kinda junk and stuffing it in my bag! Here's what I got!
Hey Honey Bésame Mucho - Shea Butter & Propolis Lip Balm
I'd like to think of myself as a Lip Balm connoisseur. It's probably my most used beauty item so I'm always down to try a new one. I've tried this a couple times already and I really like it. It's moisturizing but not too too shiny to the point that you look like you just ate some fried chicken or something, ya know?
A few months back I got the Hanalei Lip Treatment which is now my HOLY GRAIL lip balm (and the only thing I've purchased the full size of after getting it in my Ipsy bag). The Hey Honey one isn't as good as the Hanalei one but it's still a keeper. I like to have a lip balm within like 5 feet of me at all times so I'm sure I'll find a home for this little guy.
Hanalei Aloe Soothing Gel
Speaking of Hanalei, I got another one of their products this month! I'm interested in trying this out. I think I might save this for the summer time just in case I get a sunburn. Imagine sticking this in the fridge for a while then rubbing it on a sunburn!? Yes! That would be liiiiife.
Ciaté London Bamboo Bronzer in Palm Island
I've heard a lot about this brand but I've never tried any of their products, so here's my chance! The product I got looks a little lighter than the one shown above so I may just use it to dust all around my face to bring some color back into the skin. I don't think it would work as a contour shade. It has a bit of a sheen to it so I think it will be perfect for those bronzey, glowy summer looks! The packaging is so cute and is really good quality for a sample size.
Lisa Frank Unicorn Angled Blush Brush
Well.. here's a trip down memory lane for all my 80's and 90's babies! Let's bring it back to when we all had Lisa Frank notebooks, backpacks, stickers, lunch boxes... some type of unicorn, rainbow something! It's nice to have for nostalgic reasons but this will probably just sit in a cup with my other makeup brushes if we're being honest. I'm not really an angled brush kinda gal but it's cute!
MICA Beauty Cosmetics Highlight #3
Ugh, this is gorgeous! I'm so excited for Summer so I can cover myself in this when I go out at night. Like can you imagine dusting this on your shoulders and collar bones and just letting them shine and glisten all night! Yes, yes, yes! This would also work as an inner corner highlight or even on the lid for a pop of glitter.
There ya have it!"just when I thought I was out..... They pull me back in!" So after this bag I think I'll stick it out for a few more months and see how it goes. Let's just hope the Spring and Summer bags are liiiiiit! Until next time!
